Dr. Nezam Al-Nsair, director of nursing at the University of Mount
Union, will be the featured LINC luncheon speaker at noon on Tuesday,
November 27 in the East Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center on Mount
Al-Nsair will present, “Making Sense of Health Reform.” He will
provide a brief description of America’s healthcare system, its
complexity and the challenges that are facing our nation with the
current system in place. He will discuss reasons for the need to make
some changes to the way the healthcare system functions to make it
Al-Nsair will also highlight healthcare reform and discuss its
potential impact on individuals and healthcare facilities and will share
some of the potential advantages and disadvantages of the proposed
Al-Nsair received his Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from
Jordan University of Science and Technology, master of science degree in
nursing from Villanova University and doctor of philosophy degree in
nursing from the University of Cincinnati, College of Nursing and
The community luncheon series known as LINC (lunch, information,
networking and conversation) was conceived to take advantage of the
local expertise from Mount Union’s faculty and staff that exists in
Alliance, in light of the University’s exceptional academic reputation.
This is an opportunity to gain practical knowledge on current topics
from local experts and interact with members of the University and
greater Alliance community.
