Christopher Ryan’s “Surfaces & Spaces” art exhibit will be
on display from February 6 through March 6 at the University of Mount
Union’s Crandall Art Gallery.
Ryan is an associate professor of art (painting) at Hiram College.
The exhibit will feature paintings from Ryan's Landscape and Pavimenti series.
According to Ryan's website, the Pavimenti Series, begun in 2003, is
an ongoing series featuring paintings referencing mosaic and inlaid
stone floors found throughout Italy.
The Landscape Series began in 2010 and features landscapes from
northeast Ohio, as well as works completed in Tuscany and Umbria, Italy.
Art artist reception will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, February 15.
Crandall Art Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
